One of the trends in the past 20 years is an upward increase the number of women leaving the corporate ladder to follow the entrepreneurial track. Women are finding new freedom to live their dreams by establishing a business that allows them to tap into their greatest strengths while meeting the needs of the public.

In the February 2012 issue of Forbes Magazine, an article outlined  10 real reasons why 2013 will be the year of the woman entrepreneur. The article sited a survey conducted by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) saying that “women business owners believe 2013 will see more women becoming business owners than ever before.”

As women tap into their creative, feminine bent they defy economic adversity and continue to be  the biggest emerging market, controlling family spending, bank accounts and personal wealth in most households. As women emerge as leaders in the market place, so will their need to find their voice and develop effective speaking skills to keep the momentum growing. Success in the marketplace will result in more opportunities to speak at conferences, to associations, and in front of wider audiences.  The leadership expert and author, Peter Drucker said that, “As soon as you move up one step from the bottom, your effectiveness depends on your ability to reach others through the spoken or written word.” Why not start getting prepared today for that opportunity that is around the corner?
